Acquisition of minority shareholding in a China-based fruit processing company

Ersu Gıda, a Turkiye-based fruit and vegetable processing company, has announced the sale of its 40% stake in Hancheng Zhonglu Fruit Juice Co. Ltd., a China-based fruit juice company, for a consideration of US$1.2 million. Hancheng Zhonglu Fruit Juice operates in the fruit juice and fruit processing market in China. The company was established as part of Ersu Gıda’s earlier international expansion into the Chinese fruit processing sector, providing Ersu with exposure to one of the world’s largest fruit production and consumption markets. Ersu Gıda manufactures fruit juice concentrates, pulp juices, fruit juices and related processed fruit and vegetable products in Turkiye. Through the transaction, Ersu exited its minority shareholding in Hancheng Zhonglu Fruit Juice and realized value from its China-based investment.
