The Savola Group has acquired 90% shares of Turkuaz Edible Oil Company in Kazakhstan

The Savola Group, a Saudi Arabia-based food and retail group, has acquired a 90% stake in Turkuaz Edible Oil Industries, a Kazakhstan-based edible oils producer. Established in 2003, Turkuaz Edible Oil Industries produces and sells edible oils, with a focus on sunflower oil and related vegetable oil products. The company has developed a local production platform in Kazakhstan, a market with significant agricultural raw material availability and growth potential in edible oil consumption. Savola Group operates across edible oils, sugar, food products and retail, with a broad geographic presence across the Middle East, North Africa, Central Asia and surrounding markets. Through the acquisition, Savola entered the Kazakhstan edible oils market and established a platform to expand its food manufacturing activities in Central Asia.
